Drainage kerbs are the solution (380 meters)

The rainwater is very efficiently 'scooped' from the street during heavy rainfall. Also, hardly any rainwater runs over the road surface.

In combination with a lower rainwater buffer from the water board, the infrastructure of this neighborhood could be completely drained and the water could be gradually led to the rainwater buffer. The drainage kerbs made the conventional rainwater system (pipes and gully's) unnecessary for this district.

Through the idea of BLM Wegenbouw BV, in cooperation with the engineering firm Ducot and IDS, the drainage system was detailed in the drainage drawing. This EMVI scored the highest on the basis of innovativeness and simplicity. Before the system was installed, IDS instructed the professionals and the contractor on the implementation and handling of the products.
